		<description>Hello John

thanks for the question. And it is a good question too.

Down here in Mexico, there are approximately 4 organizations that are approved to give a certification to Real Estate brokers
or real estate agents. I received my certification from the group called CONOCER.

Mexico Government Real Estate Certification: Authorization by CONOCER
Thomas Lloyd Certificate Number: A-003242

Now another thing going on in Mexico, they are now offering real estate agents and brokers the chance to obtain a real estate license
The AMPI organization, Federal and State governments have been working arduously putting together processes and regulations
to better monitor this industry. These are exciting times. And, it makes it even safer for Mexican foreigners to purchase
invest and acquire properties here in this country. This past fall, 2008, approximately 5 cities here in Mexico set up
a test center and nearly 500 people from all states of Mexico participated in this first in history exam. The exam was applied and coordinated
in all cities at exactly the same date and hour. A very intensive exam of 5 hours was applied, and this was only the
first process. Those very few who passed the first phase, then had to deliver extensive information demonstrating experience, know how,
and abilities in the real estate industry. You can read more information here at my post by clicking here.

http://www.topmexicorealestate.com/blog/2008/12/22/ampi-mexico-real-estate-professional-license-and-degree/

I applaud the AMPI organization and the government for their many months and years dedicated in starting this program and making
it reality here in mexico

John, I think it is a good question you ask as this is what many buyers should not be embarrassed or shy to ask.
Are you certified, are you a member of AMPI, how long have you been practicing real estate in mexico. People
are investing much money into property in another country, so they should interview and ask for credentials.

As to the word of REALTOR, I learned something new here. I am a member of AMPI, and I do know that I am beign a member
authorized to be able to use the NAR logo, but restrictions on using the name REALTOR, this is very interesting and if
you can share some information on this, greatly appreciated. In the meantime I will research on this side here in mexico

Great! John thanks for writing! good questions.
