Mexico Real Estate Investment Tip: Survey Land with Google Earth

Mexico Real Estate Satellite ResearchIf you can’t be physically present to explore real estate in Mexico, the next best thing are satellite images from Google Earth, Microsoft, or Yahoo. Flashearth.com is a useful tool that allows you to view satellite images from various providers right from your web browser.

You can get a great feel for the natural features of Mexico and sometimes even zoom to the specific building you are interested in. However, it seems that you are not able to zoom in as close with certain locations like Cancun, preventing you from examining cars or people like you can with US locations. Even so, you can get a good sense of the population density and surrounding natural landscape of certain locations that you may be interested in. One caveat is that the images are sometimes not updated for years, which means what you see may not accurately reflect current reality. I would recommend Flashearth for research of Mexico real estate, even before you visit. Even if you don’t learn anything from you can sure have fun.
