Ritz Carlton’s $1.5 Billion Development in Los Cabos

The Ritz-Carlton, in partnership with Mexican resort developer Ernesto Coppel, is working on a $1.5 Billion dollar luxury development consisting of 200 hotel rooms and 200 residences in Los Cabos. The ambitious development on the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula is just six miles from the Los Cabos international airport and 1 mile from downtown Los Cabos. It will also include two oceanfront golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus, a 18,000 square-foot spa and wellness center, and a 6,000 square-foot ballroom. One part of “The Residences” will have large homes on lots up to three-quarters of an acre. Ladera has 44 homesites with an average 4,760 square feet floor plan.
Ritz-Carlton is one of the most luxurious brands in the world that spare no expense in providing a world class experience. It has been well documented that hotel staff are authorized to spend up to $2,000 to resolve customer issues on the spot. There are no hints on the development’s website, http://www.quiviraloscabos.com, to the price range of any of the 200 real estate ownership opportunities, which suggests very high price points. For Los Cabos, having one of the most luxurious developments in all of Mexico, should mean a positive effect for the Los Cabos real estate market.
